New network installation
We at Bosecom are experienced in setting up local area networks in business environments as well as personal homes. If you require setting up a network in a new environment, we offer the whole package. From beginning to end we offer local area network design, copper cabling or fibre optic installation (cat 5e, OS1 etc), ethernet outlet wall plate fittings, trunking and/or conduit fitting throughout the premise, router, switch and server rack installation, addition of peripheral devices on local networks (printers, VoIP phones, PoE CCTV etc), server operating system installation (Windows Server 2019, Solaris etc, wireless network solutions, network firewall, cybersecurity and VPN additions. Every setup is different to suit a particular vision of the business therefore we initially find out what you require for your setup do to and survey the premise (if needed) to ensure it meets the performance needs.
Existing network upgrades
We offer upgrades or changes to existing networks such as fitting additional ethernet outlet wall plates, replacing copper cabling for fibre optic or adding a new server to a current network. Server operating system or firmware upgrades are provided too if you require. We also replace computer hardware such as replacing server CPU's or sticks of RAM if needed.
If you require a one off or long-term maintenance to your network issue, we offer either remote access maintenance or callout technicians to your premise to resolve the problem. Most software issues can be fixed remotely however issues regarding hardware faults or internet networks will usually require a technician onsite. Furthermore, we provide network testing to primarily determine network performance and to catch any possible issues that may arise with your current network setup. User access control issues, data backup errors and security leaks can be prevented if tested beforehand.
Cabling & OS range to choose from
Network Cabling types we offer to install:
> Copper cabling: Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, Cat7, Cat8
> Fibre optic cabling: OS1, OS2, OM1, OM2, OM3, OM4
Typically, most businesses use Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat6a cabling in their office environment although the cabling choice should predominately depend on the business needs and requirements. Fibre optic cabling has an edge for offering a higher bandwidth capacity over long distances and Cat7 cabling is typically more ideal for larger businesses that require very high network performance and data speeds.
Server operating system types offered:
> Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, 2016, 2019
> Solaris 10.0, 11.0, 11.1, 11.2, 11.3, 11.4

There are several server operating systems to choose from for your business. The most commonly used ones are windows and Linux based operating systems. Once we have an idea of your setup, we will recommend the operating system that is best tailored to the aim of your business. Although to give some clarity there are some general differences listed below in determining if you should choose a Windows or Linux-based operating system.
Most Linux-based operating systems do not require a licence since they are open source which makes them a cheaper alternative, as opposed to the Windows server series which can be quite costly with the more users you have on the licence. Also Linux tends to be easier to customise and is more popular with programmers. As with most windows applications the windows server series have long-term support and have more popular programs which are supported compared to their counterparts. The Windows graphics user interface makes it easier to navigate into server and application settings, however it also makes them susceptible to security attacks and malware in comparison.
